Remediation Technology for Organic Pollution

1. In-situ Chemical Oxidation Technology (ISCO)

       In Situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO) is an environmental remediation technique which is accomplished by injecting or otherwise introducing strong chemical oxidizers directly into the contaminated medium (soil or groundwater) to destroy chemical contaminants in place. It can be used to remediate a variety of organic compounds, including organic solutions, BETX, petroleum hydrocarbon, Organic Chlorine Pesticides(OCPs).

       WELLE’s independently developed ISCO is a well-developed technology with the advantages of easily operation, effective and a short track construction and designed for the treatment of sandy or silty soils contamination.

2. Soil Vapor Extraction Technology (SVE)

       Soil vapor extraction (SVE) is a technology that is used to remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from any porous material such as the ground. SVE takes advantage of the characteristic of volatility of the contaminant. VOCs in soil will evaporate readily until the vapor pressure reaches equilibrium with the liquid. The vapors fill the spaces between the grains of the soil, and can migrate through the soil along with the atmospheric gases that are normally there. If left in place long enough, any volatile liquid in soil will evaporate just like an open container of water. SVE takes advantage of this evaporation and mobility by directing it and speeding it up. This technology is well employed to remove VOCs with high volatility such as gasoline, benzene etc.with advantage of low costs, easily operation, free to damage soil structure.

3. ZVI Deoxidization Technology

       This technology uses the deoxidization action of zero valent iron to reduce theconcentration and toxicity of pollutant in the soil. It is well employed for remediation of soil and underground water polluted by chlorine-containing organic matter with the advantages of easy and simple to handle, high efficiency of remediation and low costs as well.
